Tangqi Ancient Town is located along the Grand Canal in Hangzhou and is a cultural tourism destination featuring distinctive Jiangnan water town characteristics. It includes diverse scenes such as Guangji Ancient Bridge, riverside streets and lanes, boat docks, traditional architecture and gardens, street-side shops, and visitor distribution areas. With its extensive waterways, winding streets, and highly concentrated visitor flows during holidays, the ancient town needs to support multiple functions, including cultural tourism narration, visitor guidance, commercial atmosphere creation, crowd flow management, and flood and fire emergency announcements. The humid outdoor environment of the water town places strict requirements on the weather resistance, zoning flexibility, and sound quality adaptability of the broadcasting equipment.
The project deployed a complete FLB IP Network Broadcasting System, deeply adapting to the complex environment and operational challenges of the water town ancient scenic area:
1. Multi-Zone Fine-Grained Control for Water Town Areas: Based on the IP digital architecture, the ancient bridge walkways, canal docks, riverside commercial streets, traditional pavilion gardens, and parking areas are divided into independent zones. Each area can separately play Tangqi folk culture introductions, food recommendations, and travel guidance. Audio from different zones does not interfere with each other, avoiding excessive noise and preserving the tranquil sightseeing atmosphere of the ancient streets and lanes.
2. Adapted for All-Weather Outdoor Use Near Water: Waterproof column speakers are selected for outdoor locations, capable of withstanding the rainy and humid climate of the Jiangnan region. Equipment installed along riversides and open walkways features strong moisture resistance and durability, maintaining stable sound output despite wind and rain, ensuring clear broadcasting along waterfront areas and docks at all times.
3. Scheduled Operation to Reduce Manual Management Pressure: The system supports preset automated playback schedules, regularly delivering opening announcements, closing reminders, ancient town cultural explanations, and visitor guidance information. Cultural tourism promotions can be played continuously during the daytime, while the volume is automatically reduced at night, adapting to the different operational rhythms of the ancient town throughout the day and night.
4. Emergency Dispatch for Visitor Flow and Disaster Response: During holiday crowd congestion, flood seasons, extreme weather, or sudden fire incidents, the system can activate emergency broadcasting for selected areas or the entire ancient town with one click. It enables precise visitor flow guidance and the release of flood prevention and safety notices, while maintaining the tranquil sightseeing atmosphere of the ancient town and ensuring public safety protection.
5. Centralized Equipment Room Operation and Maintenance Management: All broadcasting hosts, power amplifiers, and network equipment are integrated and installed in standardized racks. Operation and maintenance personnel can remotely monitor the operating status of all points and adjust volume by zone from the control room. Even with distributed speaker points across streets and lanes, the system remains convenient for later inspection and maintenance.
The complete broadcasting system has been fully deployed across all areas of Tangqi Ancient Town, perfectly adapting to the characteristics of the Jiangnan water town tourism environment. In daily operation, different zones can play historical introductions of the ancient town, food and shop guidance, and civilized tourism reminders, creating a relaxed and immersive cultural tourism atmosphere. High-traffic areas such as Guangji Ancient Bridge and boat docks can provide targeted visitor flow reminders. During flood seasons and holiday peak periods, emergency voice announcements can be quickly delivered to strengthen safety protection. Outdoor equipment is designed to withstand the humid and rainy Jiangnan climate, ensuring stable long-term operation. The system supports future expansion with additional streets, scenic spots, and audio points, enabling refined and intelligent cultural tourism management for the ancient town.
FLB has been deeply engaged in public address solutions for cultural tourism ancient towns and water town scenic areas, fully adapting to the characteristics of waterfront outdoor humid environments, scattered streets and lanes, and changing visitor flows. Relying on moisture-resistant and durable hardware together with a flexible zoned IP broadcasting architecture, FLB integrates multiple values including cultural tourism promotion, visitor guidance, and safety emergency response. The solution helps upgrade intelligent cultural tourism management in Jiangnan ancient towns, providing water town scenic areas with a full-area voice broadcasting system that matches the local atmosphere while remaining stable and reliable.
